CADDY 2nd Review Meeting


CADDY project is running as scheduled! From 29 February until 3 March 2016 all partners will gather in Lisbon (Portugal) in order to perform hands-on trials and test the equipment with divers with the purpose of making all the preparations for the second review meeting. The team will demonstrate a part of experiments performed during the 1st CADDY validation trials that took place in October 2015 in Biograd na Moru, Croatia. For latest results, feel free to visit

IST and Associação David Melgueiro on Marine Technologies

ISR involved in a collaboration protocol between IST and ADM on marine technologies.
The Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and the “Associação David Melgueiro” (ADM) will sign a cooperation agreement next Monday, 23rd March, at 14h15. The cerimony will take place at the meeting room of IST, in the Central Building, Alameda Campus. In parallel, ADM will sign other cooperation agreements with

  • MARE (Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre da Faculdade de CIências)
  • EMEPC (Estrutura de Missão para a Extensão da Plataforma Continental)
  • VdA (Gab. de Advogados Vieira de Almeida)

The agreement between and IST and ADM aims to foster research and educational activities in the area of innovative technologies with applications in the marine environment.  One of the key  activities to be  pursued under the umbrella of this cooperation agreement is the develoment and operation of a new, innovative, civilian reserarch vessel with two distinctive features:  the capability to operate in the polar regions, and sail propulsion. The project counts with the participation of a large number of instutions in Portugal and involves researchers from the ISR/IST/LARSyS.
